MUNICIPAL SANITARY CONCEPTS
Sustainable and economical sanitation solutions for cities, municipalities and public institutions.
Rising operating costs, vandalism, lack of supply and disposal connections, and increasing demands for sustainability and resource efficiency present cities and municipalities with new challenges.
As a system partner, we provide comprehensive support for public sanitation projects – from simple, self-contained natural toilets to intelligently networked, waterless sanitation systems with digital management. From initial planning and installation through operation, maintenance and service to the long-term guarantee of sustainable recycling, we offer customized and needs-based solutions.
Our flexible operating models range from full-service solutions to supporting municipal utilities, construction yards, and existing local organizational structures. Depending on the requirements, we can handle individual services, complete operational management, or solely the professional disposal and recycling of the resulting material streams.

OUR SOLUTIONS
Tailor-made concepts for different requirements
Every municipality and every location has different requirements for public sanitation infrastructure. That's why we develop customized solutions – from simple, self-contained sanitation systems in sensitive natural areas to intelligently networked systems with digital operation and real-time monitoring.
Nature reserves and protected areas

MORE – Our internationally acclaimed composting toilet, awarded with design accolades such as the Red Dot Design Award.
This model exemplifies our commitment to combining sustainability, functionality, and high-quality design.
Self-sufficient and waterless sanitation solutions for sensitive natural and protected areas – resource-efficient, low-maintenance, and independent of existing infrastructure. Our systems operate without sewer or water connections, require no intervention in the soil structure, and enable sustainable and economical operation even in remote locations. Modular swap body and tank systems allow for servicing and container replacement, even in hard-to-reach locations, without the need for heavy vehicles.
City and park facilities

URBAN POD – Development study for the next generation of sustainable sanitary infrastructure in public spaces.
Expected market launch from the second half of 2027.
Durable and economical sanitary infrastructure for city parks, green spaces, promenades, and public areas. Our solutions combine modern architecture, sustainability, and cost-effective operating and service concepts, integrating harmoniously into existing urban and park landscapes. Depending on the location, our systems can operate completely autonomously without a sewer or water connection. Large-capacity tank and storage systems with capacities of up to 4,000 liters, along with intelligent monitoring and operational management systems, enable economical and demand-driven operation, even in high-traffic locations.
Events & Temporary Solutions

FESTIVAL LINE – Modular sanitary system for large events with central tank and service concepts.
Our FESTIVAL LINE was specifically developed for use at festivals, large-scale events, and temporary event spaces. The modular system includes self-contained, waterless composting toilets, men's urinals, sanitary modules with integrated MISSOIR® women's squat urinals, and washing stations. All modules operate without a sewer or wastewater connection and can be flexibly adapted to varying numbers of visitors. Proprietary, self-contained, high-performance pumping systems reliably and quietly transfer wastewater into large-capacity tank systems. These pumping systems can be powered either via a mains connection or completely independently using integrated battery systems, enabling operation for several days without an external power supply. Combined with these large-capacity tank systems, we achieve virtually unlimited capacity and cost-effective service and operating concepts – even for events with the highest attendance figures.

PURA – Self-sufficient and waterless composting toilet for flexible use at events, construction sites, natural locations and temporary deployment areas.
Thanks to their design, which is suitable for shipping, the systems can be transported economically throughout Germany and made available at short notice.
Our PURA model combines maximum flexibility with sustainable sanitation technology. It is available as a composting toilet, men's urinal, or as a combined composting toilet with an integrated men's urinal, and is particularly suitable for smaller events, municipal sites, construction sites, and nature and recreational areas. Thanks to its transport-friendly design, our systems can be deployed economically throughout Germany and used flexibly under short- or long-term rental models. Modular swap body and tank systems enable quick service and container exchange without the need for flushing or heavy-duty vehicles. Like all our systems, PURA operates independently without a sewer or wastewater connection and simultaneously forms the basis for the sustainable recycling of the resulting material streams.
INTELLIGENT BUSINESS MANAGEMENT & DIGITAL MONITORING
Weather, season, events, or holidays – the occupancy of public restrooms often changes within just a few hours or days. Rigid maintenance intervals quickly reach their limits, leading either to unnecessary service calls or delayed interventions. With ESCS Systems Monitoring, we create the foundation for needs-based and cost-effective operation. Fill levels, operating conditions, and usage data are recorded in real time, enabling proactive service planning, maximum facility availability, and continuously optimized operating costs.

Real-time monitoring
All relevant operating data at a glance – from fill levels and usage intensities to current operating conditions.
Intelligent service planning
Service calls are made on demand based on actual usage data, not according to rigid maintenance intervals. This saves time, costs, and resources.
Flexible operational management
Seasonal fluctuations, weather events, or major events can be identified early. Operators can flexibly adjust service capacities and avoid bottlenecks.
Data-driven optimization
Long-term evaluations support the planning of new locations, the dimensioning of facilities and the continuous optimization of operations.
FULL SERVICE & CIRCULAR ECONOMY
From operation to sustainable recycling – everything from a single source.
For us, sustainability doesn't end with providing a sanitary facility. We support our customers throughout the entire lifecycle – from planning and commissioning to maintenance, tank management and operation, right through to the hygienic disposal of the resulting waste streams. As an official research partner of the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), we jointly develop innovative concepts for sustainable material cycles and the resource-efficient use of valuable raw materials.

Individual operator and service concepts
Every municipality and every location has different requirements for the operation of public sanitary facilities. That's why we develop customized operator and service concepts – from comprehensive full-service solutions, including maintenance, tank exchange, and logistics, to supporting municipal depots or existing service providers. Together, we create cost-effective solutions that flexibly adapt to specific requirements and sustainably support the entire lifecycle of the facilities.
Sustainable recycling instead of disposal
We don't consider the contents of our waterless composting toilets as waste, but as a valuable resource. Through innovative sanitization and recycling processes, we create the foundation for sustainable material cycles and reduce the consumption of new raw materials. In this way, a previously unused material stream becomes a sustainable added value for the environment, society, and future energy applications.
Development of sustainable energy sources
As an official research partner of the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), we develop processes for the production of high-quality fuels, pellets, briquettes, and other thermally usable byproducts. Our goal is to harness the resources contained in waterless sanitation systems for sustainable and high-quality use and to develop new energy carriers for future applications. Our highly efficient firelighter is the first market-ready product resulting from this development concept and has already been successfully implemented in practice. With this, we are demonstrating the potential of a consistent circular economy.
Research & Innovation
Our vision extends beyond the production of sustainable fuels. In the long term, we aim to generate heat and electricity from the extracted energy sources in highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) plants, thereby establishing a closed, sustainable energy cycle. In contrast to weather-dependent energy sources, this will enable a demand-driven and continuously available energy supply. In this way, we are developing high-quality energy carriers from a previously unused material stream and creating the foundation for a resource-conserving, independent, and future-oriented energy and circular economy.
